The Rockville Centre Soccer Club is holding tryouts for our new Under-10 (U10) Travel Teams that will play in the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013.  Candidates for the U10 tryouts must register online. Please see note below on registration. The tryout fee is $15.

Tryouts will be held at Tighe Field on Thursday, May 24th and Tuesday, May 29th. A third tryout will be held on Thursday, May 31st by invitation. Candidates for the new U10 teams must participate in both mandatory tryout sessions. Results of the two day tryouts will be posted online.

U10 tryouts are open to all 3rd and 4th graders born between 8/1/2002 and 11/30/2003 who meet at least one of the following criteria: 

U10 tryout candidates must have a Rockville Centre or School District #21 residence/attend Saint Agnes Cathedral School or currently participate in the Rockville Centre Soccer Club’s Intramural or Intertown program.

The schedule for the mandatory tryout sessions are:

4:00 to 4:15 PM - Boys sign-in
4:15 to 5:45 PM - Boys tryout
5:45 to 6:45 PM - Boys goalie tryout

4:15 to 5:30 PM - Girls goalie tryout
5:30 to 5:45 PM - Girls sign-in
5:45 to 7:15 PM - Girls tryout

Selection of goalkeepers on U10 travel teams will be a combination of the field evaluations and the goalkeeper evaluations. Goalkeeper evaluations are conducted the first night of tryouts but goalkeeper candidates must also attend the field evaluation sessons on May 24th and 29th.  

If your child is interested in trying out for goalkeeper. please send an email to Jim Ryan mail@rvcsoccer.net or answer 'Yes' to the goalkeeper question during registration.

Players are to wear a white tee-shirt and shinguards and bring a properly inflated size #4 soccer ball and a drink.  The tee-shirt cannot have the player’s name.

Fall U11 Team tryouts will be held at Tighe Field on June 1st. Callback date June 7th.

4:00 to 4:15 PM – Boy’s Registration
4:15 to 5:45 PM – Boy’s Tryout
5:45 to 6:45 PM -  Boy’s Goalie Tryout
